Case Study - Philips

Situation

Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands is one of the world’s largest Television manufacturers. Philips wanted to bring their TV on Mobile solution to the Symbian OS.

Solution

I was solely responsible for designing and implementing a Symbian Client-Server solution to bridge the gap between the Mobile TV hardware chip and client UI applications.

The solution included porting of existing Windows and DVB-H Linux code to the Symbian OS. I worked with DVB-H domain experts, hardware teams and Philips partners.
