Case Study - TrimTrac Mobile.

Situation

Sampson Technology had an idea involving tracking assets via GPS. Asset locations were to be viewable on a mobile device.

Sampson Technology required advice as to the feasibility of implementing TrimTrac on various mobile platforms and the viability of communicating with and controlling a TrimTrac GPS hardware.

Solution

I produced a feasibility study assessing the required features against the available programmable mobile platforms. I proposed ways of controlling the hardware using its instruction set.

Sampson Technology subsequently chose the Windows Mobile platform as currently used by the current TrimTrac Mobile service
